We were the first in the world to offer tungsten magnetic bracelets. They look sharp, never scratch and feel wonderful. However, like any super hard material they are very very brittle. This is something we had not taken into account when we offered the bracelets. A tungsten carbide bracelet will shatter if hit, dropped or even suddenly jarred. This presented monumental problems to say the least. If you decide to try a tungsten magnetic bracelet from another source, please make sure they will honor a replacement (trust us, you will need it!!) and a full refund after the 3rd or 4th bracelet!
UPDATE! Thanks to one of our customers (thanks again Barry E.) it was brought to our attention we have not updated this question since our new tungsten carbide bracelets arrived. The bracelets we now offer have a different tungsten to carbide mixture and also a vastly different heating and cooling cycle. This along with the method of mounting the magnets (holes are now molded not drilled) resulted in a tungsten carbide bracelet that we consider wearable 24/7 in all types of conditions without the need to worry about link fracture. Tungsten carbide is still the hardest and therefore the most brittle of any metal used in jewelry and can shatter if dropped from a substantial height on a hard surface such as concrete. However, if this ever occurs with one of our tungsten carbide bracelets, simply return it for a new link. This will be honored for as long as you own the bracelet. Bottom line, you can wear our new tungsten carbide bracelets with no worry.
